Frequently asked questions
Your examination includes a full vision assessment, refraction, and binocular system assessment, alongside a full health check including advanced scans such as OCT, Optomap, Topography and Biometry. These allow us to assess your eye health in much greater detail than a standard test. Additional health checks such as visual fields, eye pressures and colour vision will also be done as needed.
These technologies help us:
• Detect eye conditions earlier (often before symptoms appear)
• Monitor changes in your eye health more accurately over time
• Provide a more detailed and personalised assessment
Many people find this offers extra reassurance and peace of mind.

The enhanced test includes additional imaging and measurements that allow us to examine your eyes in far greater detail and detect potential problems earlier. We’re always happy to explain the differences so you can decide what’s right for you.
